Napoleonbob250 is set to complete its E5+ certification and will officially arrive in Europe and other global markets in Spring 2025. Starting this month, all Benda models distributed in Europe will comply with the stringent safety and environmental standards required by the E5+ certification, ensuring that Benda meets the high expectations of European regulations.

The Origins of the V4-Engine

A V4 engine is a four-cylinder piston engine where the cylinders are arranged in a “V” configuration. The V4 engine was originally used in aircraft manufacturing and was not applied to motorcycles until the 20th century. The first V4 motorcycle was the British-made Matchless Silver Hawk, which debuted in the 1930s and featured a 16-degree V4 engine.

Later, Japanese manufacturers and others adopted in-line engines for motorcycles, often to achieve better fuel efficiency. While in-line engines deliver excellent performance in the mid-range torque, the V4 engine excels in low-end torque, offers a lower center of gravity, and produces a distinctive, smooth exhaust note. This characteristic sound, reminiscent of a horse’s gallop, perfectly complements the vintage, powerful design of cruiser motorcycles.

Benda’s Powertrain Technology

Benda established the Engine Division with the goal of developing in-house powertrain technologies in 2017. Through years of dedicated R&D, the company has successfully developed a range of engines ready for mass production. Today, Benda offers a diverse lineup of power platforms, including inline twin-cylinder engines ranging from 125cc to 2000cc, inline three-cylinder, four-cylinder, six-cylinder, V-twin, and V4 engines. The name “Redstone” draws inspiration from the Mercury-Redstone Project, NASA’s first manned space mission. In line with this heritage, Redstone ATV resembles a spacecraft, as if it’s been transported from another planet or galaxy. Its body features a striking nebula pattern, while its overall aesthetic employs a minimalistic and rational design language, setting it apart from anything currently available in the market. Long, bold, and straight lines dominate the design, emphasizing its rugged off-road capability and confidence. This futuristic yet functional approach positions Redstone ATV as a machine built to conquer any terrain while exuding an otherworldly allure.  

Even the finer details reflect this forward-thinking approach. For instance, the center-positioned gear shifter breaks industry norms, freeing up legroom for a more spacious and organized cockpit. Meanwhile, the triple-vertical LED lights not only reduce weight but also give the vehicle a distinct, futuristic appearance, far surpassing traditional halogen bulbs.

The inaugural Benda Dealer’s Day took place at the Viu Hotel in Milan, celebrating the achievements of the past year and sharing plans for the future.
