HOW BENDA BECAME A LEADING SPORT CRUISER MOTORCYCLE SUPPLIER IN CHINA

Founded in 2016, as a young sport cruiser motorcycle supplier, Benda has aimed to become a globally recognized brand through exceptional motorcycle design. In 2017, the company established its Engine Division and set up industrial modeling design and engineering R&D offices in China and Austria.

The China team comprises 20% of the company’s R&D and design staff, operating out of a 49,000-square-meter facility. The modern manufacturing plant possesses an annual production capacity of up to 100,000 motorcycles. Meanwhile, the Austrian R&D center brings world-class industrial aesthetics and R&D capabilities to continuously infuse new vitality into production. Based on the collaborative efforts of both teams, Benda has secured over 70 patents, including utility model patents, invention patents, and design patents, establishing its ability to independently develop designs, engines and techniques ready for mass production.

With a robust in-house development system, Benda launched Chinchilla300 in the local market in 2020. At that time, China’s motorcycle market lacked sport cruiser motorcycle suppliers, and the public was unfamiliar with the cruiser. However, Chinchilla300 quickly gained popularity among young Chinese consumers due to its outstanding design. It became a social media sensation, with many young people sharing photos online, significantly boosting the brand visibility in China. Within just over a year, Chinchilla300 achieved approximately 80,000 units in sales, solidifying Benda’s position as a leading sport cruiser motorcycle supplier in the domestic market.

Building on the success, Benda launched the LFC700 the following year, setting a new standard for sport cruisers, and introduced the Rock300 as an entry-level American-style retro cruiser. The LFC700 not only features a larger engine and increased power but also advances in design, earning the Red Dot Award for Motorcycle Design in 2024 and gaining a global fan base. The company continued to expand with innovative cruiser models such as the Napoleonbob 250, Napoleonbob 500, and Dark Flag 500, making Benda synonymous with sport cruiser motorcycle supplier in the Chinese market. When discussing cruisers, Benda is a name that cannot be overlooked.
