“Latte at work, Napoleonbob after work.” In the second episode of Benda Born Bold, we invited Lu Fan, a barista based in Hangzhou, China, to share his story with his Napoleonbob 250.
“I’m a barista, and cruiser owners can never be away from coffee.”
Fan has been a barista for five years, but his motorcycle journey started even earlier. Napoleonbob 250 is his first choice for a cruiser, offering him unparalleled emotional fulfillment with its retro and stylish Bobber design.
On one memorable ride, Fan caught the attention of a driver who guessed this chic Bobber might cost a staggering 200,000 RMB. This moment left him feeling both proud and amused. “The main attraction of this bike (Napoleonbob 250) for me was its appearance. When I ride it, people keep looking back at me,” Fan shared.
“I hope everyone can have their own unique Napoleonbob.”
Napoleonbob 250 boasts a mechanical, retro aesthetic, but Fan made it truly one of a kind by modifying the headlight, clutch, seat, and prints. As he became more familiar with the modification process, friends started asking him to customize their motorcycles as well. Fan shares his work on social media, earning admiration from motorcycle enthusiasts. “I actually enjoy the entire modification process,” Fan explained. “Because when you finish a mod—through your own effort, through the research—it feels rewarding.”
